What We Do
Advancing Phage Research and Education
We study bacteriophages to harness their potential for scientific and medical advancements by training the next generation of scientists in phage hunting to address antimicrobial resistance and other pressing challenges.
Our Initiatives
Training and Research
Our Training Initiative combines Phage Bioinformatics Training and Wet Lab Practicals to provide a hands-on learning experience.
Journal Club
The Journal Club is a supportive space where participants build critical skills for their research journeys.
Outreach
Our Outreach Initiative brings Panel Discussions and tailored Consultancy Services.
Collaborations
Passionate about phage, let's collaborate with you.
Key Milestones
July-Septmber, 2024
Panel Discussions, Advocacy
Between July and September 2024, five panels were held to explore the landscape of AMR and phage therapy in Kenya. The series bridged the gap between science and practice by concluding with impactful patient stories.
Septmber - November, 2024
Fundraising, Partnerships, Recognition and Awards
From September to November 2024, the organization raised $1,240 and served as a media partner for World Phage Week. They also earned national and global recognition for their innovation and research posters.
January 2025 to Date
Training, Research, and Journal Club
In early 2025, the organization hosted a ten-day phage genomics workshop and onboarded twenty new members for specialized bioinformatics training. These initiatives focused on advancing technical skills in literature analysis and comparative genomics.
